Habits of Mind and Learning
Habits of Mind and Learning (HOMLs) are dispositions or life habits that are employed by successful people. Renaissance students 'practice' using the different habits by choosing two with which they are struggling. The student writes what improvements they would like to make and why. Over the course of two weeks they reflect on their success and challenges with the particular habits on which they have chosen to focus. Reflections on the habits are meant to address the whole person. They can be within academic, social and/or familial context.
